Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Glova, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Glova is a personal skincare tracking application that uses AI to analyse your skin photos and lifestyle inputs to provide personalised wellness insights. You must be at least 16 years old to use Glova.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You may not share your account or use someone else's. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload photos of anyone other than yourself, or photos you don't have rights to
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to access other users' data
Use the service to harm yourself or others
Submit false, misleading, or harmful content
Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5. Content you upload

You retain ownership of your photos and data
You grant Glova a limited licence to process them for the purpose of providing the service (AI analysis, generating your insights)
We do not sell, share, or use your content for advertising or AI training (see Privacy Policy)

6. Subscriptions and payments

Glova offers free and premium tiers
Premium subscriptions are billed via the Apple App Store and managed there
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled in your App Store account at least 24 hours before the renewal date
Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy
We may change pricing with at least 30 days notice via in-app notification or email

7. Medical disclaimer

Glova is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. The AI analysis is an estimate based on a single photo and is for informational and wellness purposes only. Always consult a qualified dermatologist or doctor for any skin concerns or conditions.

8. AI accuracy

Skin scan results are generated by AI (OpenAI GPT-4o Vision) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Results can vary with lighting, angle, and image quality. Do not rely on Glova as the sole basis for skincare or medical decisions.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page (see Account Deletion). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI insights will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glova is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Glova operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. (Specific jurisdiction will be confirmed prior to launch.)
